Yes. You can have one manager oversee more than one department.
However, you must understand how delegation works in this case so you do not give wider access than you intend.
How to set up delegation
Follow these steps to delegate a manager’s responsibilities:
Go to:
Employees/Workers > Delegation > Add Delegated User.In the first box, enter the name of the person who is sharing their responsibilities (the original manager).
In the second box, enter the name of the person who will receive these responsibilities (the delegated user).
Choose which permissions to give using the three switches:
Approve Holidays
Use this if you want the delegated user to approve holiday requests.
View Employee Details
Use this if you want the delegated user to see employee information.
Edit/Manage Employee Details
Use this if you want the delegated user to edit employee records.
Important: Delegation and multiple departments
If you delegate from a manager who oversees multiple departments:
The delegated user will see employees in all those departments.
The delegated user will have access based on the permissions you turned on (Approve Holidays, View Details, Edit/Manage Details) across all those departments.
If you want someone to only see a single department:
Do not delegate from a multi‑department manager.
Instead, make that person the manager of just that specific department.
This limits their access to only that department’s employees.
