Follow these steps to make sure your device’s clock is set correctly. An incorrect clock can cause problems when using Atlas.

1. Open Date and Time Settings

  • Move your mouse to the bottom right corner of your screen and right-click the time and date displayed on your taskbar.

  • In the menu that appears, select “Adjust date/time.”

2. Set Time Automatically

  • In the Date & Time settings window, find the option labelled “Set time automatically.”

  • Make sure this switch is turned on. This will allow your device to update the time automatically using the internet.

3. Check Your Time Zone

  • Below the time settings, look for “Set time zone automatically.” Turn this on if you move between time zones, or

  • If you stay in one location, make sure the time zone matches your current location (for example, “(UTC+00:00) Dublin, Edinburgh, Lisbon, London” for the UK).

  • If it’s incorrect, click the drop-down menu and select the right time zone.

4. Sync Your Clock (Optional but Recommended)

  • Scroll down and find the “Synchronise your clock” section.

  • Click the “Sync now” button. This will immediately update your device’s clock to match the official time.

5. Close the Settings Window

  • Once you have checked and updated your settings, you can close the window.
