You can approve or decline holiday requests for your team directly in Atlas. Here’s how to manage these requests quickly and accurately.
How You Get Notified
When an employee submits a holiday request, you receive an email and a task in Atlas.
To check who manages an employee, look at your department structure in Atlas. The manager is listed in the centre of the department box.
Delegated users may also be notified. The first person to act on the request will be recorded as the declining user.
Ways to Approve or Decline a Holiday Request
1. Review All Pending Requests
Go to:
Dashboard > Review Requests > Actions > Amend/Approve or Decline
Here, you see all holiday requests waiting for your action.
2. Review Requests by Employee
Go to:
Employees/Workers > Manage > Employee View > Holidays and Absences > Actions > Amend/Approve or Decline
Here, you see all holiday requests submitted by a specific employee.
Adding a Reason for Declining
When you decline a request, you can enter a reason to explain your decision.
What Happens After You Act?
Once you approve or decline, Atlas automatically emails the employee with the outcome.
If you decline, Atlas returns the requested days to the employee’s annual entitlement, so they can request them again later.
