Atlas offers a comprehensive range of pre-set absence types and sub-types. We recommend reviewing these options to ensure they meet your business needs. If you require custom absence types specific to your organisation, you can easily add them to the system.
However, it is important to note that Atlas does not allow editing or removing existing default absence types, nor altering their Global setting availability. Organisations should create custom absence types if the default options do not meet their needs.
Follow these steps to create a new custom absence type tailored to your needs:
Navigate to Employees/Workers > Absence Types.
Select the Add Absence Type option to create a new absence type.
Assign the absence type to an appropriate category. For instance, if you need a new absence option for a funeral, use the Family/Dependant category.
Specify the type name and configure it according to your requirements.
Save the new absence type. It will now be available for users to record applicable absences.
From here, you can:
Ensure to configure each absence type precisely to align with organisational requirements.
Name your new absence type
Assign a code
Add multiple sub-types- Assign the absence type to a relevant category, such as Family/Dependant for leave related to family matters.
This allows you to tailor absence reporting for greater accuracy and relevance to your business.
